TAMPA - For the second time in the past year, the Florida Highway Patrol made the call to shut down the Sunshine Skyway Bridge to traffic.
According to the FHP, the Skyway was closed until late Thursday afternoon due to concerns over high winds associated with Tropical Storm Andrea.
FHP says wind speeds were measured at 50+mph.
The last time the FHP shut down the bridge was in June, 2012, during Tropical Storm Debby.
