TAMPA BAY - The portion of the southbound I-275 Exit 40B ramp that allows traffic to go south on Lois Avenue has closed permanently.  For now, the ramp movement to northbound Lois Avenue will remain open.

The detour for southbound I-275 traffic to southbound Lois is as follows:  Exit 40A to Westshore Boulevard (the interchange after Lois), turn right and go north to Cypress Street, then turn right and go east to Lois.

The future interchange configuration will have southbound I-275 traffic exit to Cypress Street, just east of Lois Avenue.

This I-275 exit change is part of the $215.4 million widening project underway between SR-60/Memorial and the Hillsborough River.
