TAMPA BAY - There will be a FREE shuttle service to downtown for the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 22-24, 7 A.M. to 7 P.M.
Parking will be provided at Tropicana Field for $10, and the shuttle service will be provided by buses and open-air trolleys. The trolleys are equipped with a wheelchair lift. The parking lots located between 16th & 19th streets will be available for shuttle passengers. Enter from 3rd or 5th avenues south.
The shuttle pick-up location will be located on the east side (Tropicana side) of 16th Street between 3rd & 4th avenues south. The drop-off location will be on 4th Avenue S. between 2nd & 3rd streets, one block from the track.
The Downtown Looper Trolley also will operate during the Grand Prix. Service hours are Friday & Saturday, 10 A.M. to Midnight and Sunday, 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. The fare is $0.50 each time you board. For seniors 65 and over, those that are disabled and Medicare cardholders the fare is $0.25. Children 5 and under ride free. Exact change please. The closest Looper stops to the Honda Grand Prix are at the Bayfront Hilton Hotel and Hampton Inn & Suites.
