TAMPA BAY - A 20-year-old driver is dead, and his 20- and 19-year-old passengers are critical following a high-speed crash in Bradenton Thursday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Darian Everett, of Bradenton, was speeding on northbound 34th St W, north of 49th Ave. Dr. W when he lost control of his Chevy Nova and collided with a utility pole. His car then hit a parked car, and overturned. Everett died at the scene.

Mitchell Shreves, 19, of Bradenton and Stephanie Lanham, 20, of Palmetto, were critically injured in the accident.
