22nd St. ramp to EB Selmon closes Sunday night

TAMPA: Beginning after 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 28, the 22nd Street entrance ramp onto the eastbound Selmon Expressway (SR 618) will close until Spring, 2013, according to FDOT. The closure is required as part of the ongoing construction of a new north-south toll road, which will connect I-4 with the Selmon, west of 31st Street. DETOUR for the entrance ramp closure: Motorists will be directed east on State Road 60 (Adamo Drive) to the 50th Street entrance ramp onto the eastbound Selmon Expressway.

Also, from 8 p.m. Friday until 4 a.m. Monday, 21st and 22nd streets will be CLOSED under the Selmon Expressway. Traffic will be detoured to 19th/20th streets. 

In addition to the ramp closure, one lane of the eastbound Selmon Expressway will be closed from 22nd Street (Exit 9) to 26th Street. The single-lane closure on the eastbound mainline of the Expressway is estimated to reopen in fall 2013.
