TAMPA - The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has identified the man who died in a motorcycle accident on Belcher Rd and Grove Wood Blvd late Sunday night as Daniel Lavoy Akins. Investigators say Akins was seen speeding on his motorcycle, weaving in and out of traffic in Oldsmar. Akins allegedly fled a deputy who tried to stop him. The deputy did not pursue Akins, who was last seen driving north on Belcher Rd. Akins lost control of his motorcycle and crashed near  Sutherland Elementary. He was taken to Bayfront Medical Center where he passed away from his injuries. Belcher Rd reopened just after 5AM Monday.

A 26-year-old man died early Sunday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle on I-4 at the I-275 exit in downtown Tampa. FHP says Ryan Jeffrey Sorsby, of Clearwater, failed to negotiate the curve in the ramp, and his motorcycle overturned, sending Sorsby over the concrete traffic barrier wall.

Motorcycle driver Robert Adam Szymanowski,III, 22, of Land O'Lakes died in a crash on SR-54 at Old Country Road 54 in Pasco County Saturday night. FHP's report says 20-year-old Kayla Ashton Ceglenski of Helena, Montana, attempted to make a U-Turn on SR-54 and pulled directly into the pathway of Szymanowski, who was unable to avoid the crash.
