TAMPA - ALERT: Tampa Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian on Hillsborough Avenue & 40th St. Two lanes of westbound Hillsborough will be closed between 42nd and 40th streets for a few hours as an investigation is completed. Updates throughout the morning @TampaBayTraffic.

7:54 -- I-275 ST. PETE UPDATE: Sluggish traffic northbound near 54th Ave N. Accident reported in the area.

7:50 -- I-75 TAMPA: SB drive time, Apex to I-4 = 30 minutes w/slowest traffic near Bruce B Downs. NB drive time, SR-60 to Fowler = 15 min.

7:47 -- I-275 ST. PETERSBURG: Crash reported on northbound I-275 between 54th Ave N & Gandy. No delays per my traffic cameras right now.

7:45 -- TAMPA - PALM RIVER: RT ‏@squareoneempire train on 41 between Riverview Dr & Madison has traffic backed up for miles. Sitting 15 mins so far.

7:42 -- TAMPA - VETERANS EXPRESSWAY: Southbound drive time from Van Dyke Rd to I-275 exits = 40 minutes. Biggest traffic jam near Waters toll plaza
