A lot of movements take shape on Facebook these days, and now there's one asking drivers to not fill-up their cars at gas stations.

The social networking site is buzzing about a gas strike. (Click here to check out the event)

Users are being asked to protest rising gas prices by not buying gas Thursday, March 10.

As of Thursday morning, the Facebook event had more than 437,000 people saying they plan to take part.

Organizers say it is a way to have your voice heard, while some opponents say it is a waste of time and will not change the rising cost of gasoline.

The national average price for gas is $3.50 and the average price in Ohio is $3.47.
