TAMPA - For the Lightning, the 48-game season gets underway at home Jan. 19 against the Capitals.

No word yet on game time.  We should know more tomorrow or Saturday when the entire schedule will be released.

Love the matchup.  The Bolts don't like Washington, and the Caps don't like the Bolts.

It's a rivalry that continues to grow in the Southeast Division.

Meanwhile, the Lightning will open camp Sunday at the Forum.  They work out there on Monday then head down to Estero for three days of training.

Head Coach Guy Boucher said he wanted to get the team away from all distractions and build chemistry.

Estero should do the trick.

The Bolts will be working out at the Germain Arena down there and it is free and open to the public.

Nine days and counting until the opener.  Tick... tick... tick...
