This is not about staying in your comfort zone.  And it's not about simply running from point A to point B.  Adventure racing is catching on across the country, including here in Florida, and it's for a new breed of extreme athletes.

The Savage Race will be run in Clermont this Saturday, March 10, with thousands expected to compete.  Each course is unique, designed to surprise competitors, challenge them and frankly make them question whether it was really a good idea to sign up in the first place.

Many adventure races include fire jumps, barbed wire crawls and mud pits.  But that's not all.  The Savage Race course is 4.2 miles of all sorts of planned challenges and unexpected twists
