TAMPA - This is embarrassing. Two 20-years-olds manage to listen in on a conversation between Bucs GM Mark Dominik and Bills GM Buddy Nix.

Even worst, the two comedians set the call up!

Here’s how it went down according to Deadspin.com .

The pranksters, after making a call to Bills general manager Buddy Nix posing as Dominik, somehow managed to get access to the eventual callback from Nix to Dominik.

They secretly recorded the 5-minute call and shared the clip with Deadspin.

In the conversation, Dominik discusses his efforts to trade running back LeGarrette Blount and receiver Arrelious Benn.

Nix basically complained about finding a worthy starting quarterback.

“We're still struggling here with our quarterback.” Nix said, “We’re not really struggling. He's going to have to do something, or we'll have to. . . We just can't afford to pay that kind of money for a guy who's fighting for probably a backup job.”

Wonder how current starter Ryan Fitzpatrick is feeling right about now.

(UPDATE: 4:34 p.m.)  Bills released Ryan Fitzpatrick. He was due a $3 million roster bonus on Wednesday.

Dominik also said none of his primary free-agents are re-signing with the team because they don’t want to sign, instead see what the market has to offer.

There are also a couple of free-agents he doesn’t want to re-sign.

Dominik was obviously fishing to find the level of Nix’s interest in a trade with the following conversation:

“I know I sat down and talked to you about some of the players I’m talking about moving,” Dominik said. “Benn and Blount are the two that have more interest. The corner (Wright? Biggers?), I don’t know what I’m going to do. I haven’t decided what to do with the corner yet. Those are the three. In terms of Jamon Meredith, no one’s really called me back on Jamon to be honest with you.”

Jamon Meredith being on the trade block is fresh news.  We already know that Blount and Benn are being thrown out there.

Anyway, Nix didn’t bite.

In response to the trade inquiry, Nix said, “We’re pretty good on tackles. To tell you the truth, we’ve got six draft picks and, hell, we need to gain some, not give them up. It’s pretty hard for us.”

The Bills have said their legal counsel is on the case.  So far, no comment from the Bucs.
