TAMPA - Another year, another incident involving Buccaneers Cornerback Aqib Talib.

The latest fiasco happened in Garland, Texas at his sister’s home on March 21.

Police reports say that Talib’s sister and her boyfriend were having a domestic dispute. Talib and his mother arrived at the home. Soon after, according to reports, Talib attempted to pistol whip his sister’s boyfriend, and then lost his gun in a scuffle.

His mother then fired three shots at her daughter’s boyfriend and missed. Talib then grabbed his mother’s gun and fired shots himself.

There were witnesses, but right now police are trying to separate fact from fiction.

Any charges against Talib won’t likely come until later in the week. Talib could face charges from a misdemeanor to a second-degree felony.

This is just another in a series of trouble Talib has gotten into, and I would think the Bucs have had enough.

This incident is certainly on the NFL Commissioner’s radar screen, but it’s not cut in stone that Roger Goodell can discipline Talib even if he is charged with a crime.

Since it happened during the lockout, it’s believed the union would fight any decision brought by the commissioner.

Goodell said he intended to enforce the league’s personal-conduct policy during the lockout.

Whether or not Goodell will lay down the hammer, the Bucs need to move on here with #25.

There is no way the Bucs can justify keeping this guy on their roster. He has been one problem after another, and will never change.

To keep him around would show a weakness in the organization. Regardless of how good he is on the field, he is failure outside the lines.

I am all for giving people second chances. We’re well beyond that in this case.

I would expect nothing less than for the Bucs to cut or trade Talib once the collective bargaining agreement is reached and all is back to normal.

It pains me to have to say that, but if I owned the team, he is history.
