TAMPA - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have activated DE Da'Quan Bowers from the Physically Unable to Perform list and waived CB LeQuan Lewis.

Bowers should line up in pass rushing situations, which could be a big boost to a depleted defensive line.

Bowers played in all 16 games as a rookie last season, starting the final six. He recorded 30 tackles, 1.5 sacks, five tackles for loss, a fumble recovery and five passes defensed, the most by a Buccaneers lineman.

Bowers was selected in the second round (51st overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Clemson University.
