Report: Chip Kelly turns down head coaching job with Tampa Bay Buccaneers

TAMPA, Fla. - After reportedly being in negotiations with the Buccaneers to replace Raheem Morris as the head coach, the University of Oregon coach Chip Kelly has turned the NFL gig down, according to the Eugene, Oregon Register Guard .
On Sunday, KGW-TV reported that Kelly had interviewed with the Buccaneer’s general manager Mark Dominik and the Glazer family last week.
He had been offered the job and was close to signing a contract with the Bucs, but Kelly reportedly told a source at UO late Sunday night that he changed his mind.
If Kelly does decide to take the job, he would become the 9 th Buccaneer coach in franchise history.
He's been the head coach at Oregon for three years.
The 48-year-old coach won the conference title for each of the three years he's been the head coach at Oregon.
But that is the only "head coaching" experience that he has. He was a collegiate assistant for nearly 20 years before that.
