ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Rays' Casey Kotchman was taken to Bayfront Medical Center after suffering 'tightness' in his chest Tuesday evening.
The starting first baseman was taken to Bayfront Medical Center for what the Rays called precautionary measures.
Kotchman was taken from Tropicana Field on a stretcher.
Reid Brignac started in his place in the game against the New York Yankees.
