ISLAMABAD - Actress Angelina Jolie has joined the chorus of condemnation of threats by a Florida church to burn copies of the Muslim holy book to mark the ninth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Jolie's criticism came during a visit to Pakistan, where she's raising awareness about the floods that have overwhelmed much of the country in recent weeks. Jolie serves as a goodwill ambassador for the U.N.'s refugee agency.

She told reporters in Islamabad that she has "hardly the words that somebody would do that to somebody's religious book."

The story hasn't gotten much coverage in Pakistan, which has been coping with flooding caused by extremely heavy monsoon rains. The devastation has claimed more than 1,700 lives.
