FT. MYERS BEACH, Fla. - Five people have been rescued from a capsized boat off Ft. Myers Beach.
According to Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg, the boaters went into the water after the boat flipped one mile from the beach.
A Coast Guard boat from Ft. Myers and Lee County Sheriff's boat responded and rescued the boaters from the water. No one was injured.
An investigation into what caused the boat to flip and capsize is underway, the USCG said.
