BRANDON, Fla. - A suspect who robbed a Brandon Steak N Shake at gunpoint early Sunday morning and led deputies on a pursuit was arrested after he flipped his car during the chase.
Deputies saw Allan Jerome Stinson, 20, getting into his car after stealing an undisclosed amount of money from the cashier at the Steak N Shake at 1402 Brandon Blvd.
Deputies tried to pull him over, but Stinson pointed his gun at them and took off.
During a short pursuit, Stinson lost control of his car on State Road 60 just west of U.S. 301. and it flipped upside down. He tried to escape on foot but he was tackled and arrested. No one was injured.
Stinson was released from prison in March 2013. He's also a suspect in the overnight robbery of a Brandon Hungry Howies. He faces charges of Armed Robbery with a firearm, Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer and Fleeing to Elude. Deputies say additional charges from the Hungry Howies robbery could be added later today.
