NAPLES, Fla. - A 21-year-old man was accused of molesting two young girls in Collier County after someone in California found graphic videos on his lost cell phone.
Deputies arrested Miguel Ixcotoyac around 3:30 a.m. Monday. According to an incident report, Ixcotoyac lost his cell phone after he moved from Naples to Fresno, Calif., earlier this year. A homeless man found the phone and tried to sell it.
The prospective buyer, wanting to test the phone out, put the memory card in his own phone to make sure it worked, according to investigators. He then found two videos of a man sexually abusing two young girls, and turned the phone over to the Fresno Police Department, a report stated.
Police in California identified Ixcotoyac as a suspect and notified the Collier County Sheriff's Office, since the sexual assaults happened in Florida in February and May.
Ixcotoyac is being held without bond at the Naples Jail Center, according to court records. Reports indicate he also is being held for the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Bureau.
