PALM COAST, Fla. - Newly released video shows the frightening moments that sent Florida shoppers fleeing for safety (Note: video is graphic).
A car careened into the front door of a Palm Coast Publix and crashed into a group of people on Saturday.
Ten people were injured. Two of them, a husband and wife, were seriously hurt. A baby suffered minor injuries.
A chaotic 911 call followed.
Operator: "911. What's your emergency?"
Caller: "Um, there, a car just came through the door at Publix on Beltair Parkway."
Operator: "Okay ma'am, listen to me for a minute. Did it go all the way through the door?"
Caller: "Yes ma'am through the whole building."
Another camera caught the car as it drives through the store with customers scrambling to avoid being hit.
The vehicle finally stopped just past the checkout counters.
The driver, 76-year-old Thelma Wagenhoffer, now faces careless driving charges.
