Toddler found in car with two murdered adults

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Police are investigating after a 3-year-old was found in a car with the bodies of two gunshot victims in southwest Florida. The child was not harmed.

Fort Myers Police found a man and woman inside the car around 4 a.m. Tuesday. They were pronounced dead at the scene and apparently died from multiple gunshot wounds. Several shell casings were left at the scene.

The Fort Myers News-Press reports the child was not harmed, but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

It's unclear whether the child was related to the victims. The victims were not identified and no other details were released.

A call to Fort Myers Police was not immediately returned Tuesday.
