ORLANDO - A teen boy died in an Orlando lake Friday morning after a canoe he and his friends were in capsized.
The male victim, who was in the canoe with three other teens when it flipped, was the only one who didn’t survive, officials say.
When the three surviving teens surfaced and their friend didn’t, they called 911 around 4:15 a.m. to report that one of their friends had gone under water.
Investigators say the teens--- two boys and two girls, 18 or 19 years old, went canoeing without vests or lighting of any kind.
Divers found the victim at the bottom of Rock Lake. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
