HARDEE COUNTY - Eight students were on board when their school bus crashed and flipped on it's side Monday morning.
A gas tanker rear-ended the bus at Florida 66 and Sunset Drive, causing it to flip over, Hardee County Fire Chief Robert Clayton confirmed.
Two with minor injuries were transported to the hospital.
The rest of the children were able to get picked up by another school bus.
Hardee County Fire Chief Robert Clayton says they were “very lucky the fuel truck wasn’t breached.”
