COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is wagering a barbecue dinner that the Gamecocks will bring home a second consecutive College World Series championship.

Haley's office says she and Florida Gov. Rick Scott are placing a friendly wager on the finals that get under way Monday between the University of South Carolina and the University of Florida.

Haley says she called up and "talked a little smack" to Scott, who is wagering key lime pie from Kermit's Key West Key Lime Shoppe. Haley has put up a barbecue dinner from Hudson's Smokehouse in Lexington.

The Gamecocks and Gators face off Monday night in the first matchup of a best-of-three series in Omaha, Neb. South Carolina captured the 2010 championship.
