GAINESVILLE - A Florida woman faces battery charges after the sight of her boyfriend checking out another woman led her to ram a truck into his car, nearly running him over, the Gainesville Sun reports (http://bit.ly/NEFIUe).
Deborah Slaton, 45, had been dating the victim for more than a year and the couple had been living together.
The couple was in a public game room parking lot around 9:00 p.m. Monday and Slaton got upset with her boyfriend because he was looking at another woman’s bottom, deputies said.
She swung at him, slapped him, and continued to hit him until he began to push away.
She then grabbed him and got him down on the floor.
The victim got out of her grasp and got away on foot. Slaton got into her truck.
When the victim returned to pick up his friends an hour later, she rammed his truck into his vehicle.
After he parked, she continued to drive around in the parking lot in circles. When the victim tried to speak to her, she drove toward him with the truck and he jumped out of the way.
He was bruised from diving into the pavement, but he refused medical attention and refused to file charges for the damage to his van or fill out a statement.
After Slaton was arrested, she said she was only trying to scare him not hurt him.
