JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Florida special prosecutor Angela Corey has planned a news conference to be held at 6:00 p.m. in Jacksonville.
UPDATE: Zimmerman charged with second-degree murder (see http://wfts.tv/IDN9rL ).
A written statement says she is prepared to release new information regarding the Trayvon Martin shooting death investigation.
Both the Associated Press and the Washington Post say she will be charging neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in the shooting.
Both name a "law enforcement official close to the investigation" as a source.
It is not clear what charges Zimmerman will face.
