WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Religious sentiments of loving thy neighbor and praying for those who trespass against us is nothing new to the catholic faith, but when it comes to Osama bin Laden, one West Palm Beach church is struggling to turn the other cheek.

According to the Sun-Sentinel, a parishioner made a prayer request for the soul of the deceased terrorist, and the former Al Qaeda leader’s name appears on the Sunday bulletin at the Holy Name of Jesus church, to the dismay of many followers.

The request came two weeks after bin Laden was killed in his mansion by U.S. navy SEALs.

Catholic Church member Lois Pizzano says bin Laden doesn’t belong in the Catholic religion, considering what he did to Americans.

"It's unconscionable, it's sacrilegious," Pizzano said.

However, Father Gavin says although many aren’t happy, he says the church never turns down prayer requests and its not always easy to do the right thing.

Church pastor, Father Badway, agrees.  "Their hearts are troubled because they're thinking emotionally about what he has done and he has done a lot of evil. Nevertheless, Jesus tells us, 'love and forgive,'" Badway said.
