FORT LAUDERDALE - Authorities have arrested a man they say climbed over a fence at a South Florida airport and sneaked onto an empty Spirit airplane.
Michael Cumberbatch made his way into a restricted area at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Wednesday morning and sneaked on the jet. He was arrested a short time later.
Davie Police had been looking for Cumberbatch after they found a stabbing victim at his house. Sgt. Greg Gasse said Cumberbatch admitted he'd been in a fight with a plumber.
The victim remained hospitalized Wednesday with potentially life-threatening injuries.
