DUNNELLON / HOMOSASSA, Fla. - A few residents in Dunnellon and Homosassa are cleaning up after a storm with high winds moved through Saturday evening.
According to the National Weather Service in Ruskin, law enforcement in the area reported several trees were knocked down along a road in Dunnellon and a pole barn was damaged in Homosassa.
Resident Philip Wilchynski contacted ABC Action News by phone to report that several large pine trees were uprooted at his son's home at 7910 North Faircort Ave. in Dunnellon by what he described as a tornado.
The NWS has not confirmed what type of wind event caused the damage.
Wilchynski said his son watched the wind uproot the trees and send them toppling to the ground. One tree damage his son's vehicle.
No injuries have been reported with the storm damage.
