TAMPA - While Hurricane Earl is getting most of the attention, forecasters are also keeping tabs on three other systems in the Atlantic.
Tropical Storm Fiona is the next closest system to the U.S. Fiona is expected to make a turn to the north later today and poses no threat to the mainland. Bermuda is under a Tropical Storm Watch.
Further to the east, Tropical Storm Gaston has weakened back into a depression and is moving due west. It's located some 1500 miles east of the Lesser Antilles, far away from the U.S.
Gaston's westward movement is expected to continue for the foreseeable future and some re-strengthening is predicted over the next few days.
Forecasters describe the remaining system is a "vigorous tropical wave." It's located several hundred miles east-southeast of the Cape Verde Islands. Right now, there is a low chance - 10 percent - that the system will become a tropical storm over the next few days. But some strengthening is expected and the system could eventually become Tropical Storm Hermine.
