KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. - NASA is giving 150 of its social media followers the chance to receive an insider’s look at the upcoming MAVEN spacecraft launch.
NASA Socials are in-person meetings for people who engage with the government agency through its official Twitter, Facebook and Google+ websites.
During the Social scheduled for November 16 and 18, attendees will get to view the MAVEN launch, hear from the MAVEN science and engineering teams, receive tours of the Vehicle Assembly Building and Launch Control Center, view the Atlas V launch pad and meet with NASA representatives.
Registration for the MAVEN NASA Social closes today at 3 p.m. EDT.
To register you must be at least 18 years old. People who are not U.S. citizens can apply to attend the Social, but are required to submit a copy of their visa and passport, or a copy of their Green card.
NASA asks people who have attended any of their previous Socials not apply.

The Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN (MAVEN) is scheduled to launch aboard an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station at 1:27 p.m. on November 18.
