TALLAHASSEE - Gov. Rick Scott leaves Sunday on a five-day trip to Colombia to promote Florida and its products to one of its biggest trading partners.

It's the third time since May that Scott will lead a trade delegation outside the United States. Former Gov. Bob Martinez and Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn are among the 190 people in the traveling delegation.

Colombia is the fifth largest economy in Latin America with a population of 47.1 million and ranks among the top five destinations for Florida products with some $3 billion in trade annually.

Scott, who turns 60 Saturday, visited Spain in May and then traveled in July to United Kingdom to attend the Farnborough Air Show.

Enterprise Florida is paying the travel expenses incurred by Scott and his wife during the trip.
