VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. - A Volusia County woman will no longer be a practicing dentist because officials say she was getting high on her own supply of laughing gas before performing procedures, according to a Click Orlando report.
Dr. Sharon O’Steen, who claims she was a practicing dentist for nearly 20 years, was accused of inhaling nitrous oxide before working on patients mouths.
O’Steen says she closed down her office in June to get help for a drug problem, but officials say she re-opened her office in August without successfully completing the program.
The state has taken away her license.
