STARKE, Fla. - A convicted killer who has been on death row for 23 years is scheduled to die by lethal injection at Florida State Prison.
The execution of Marshall Lee Gore is scheduled for Tuesday night.
Gore was sentenced to death for the March 1988 murder of Robyn Novick, a 30-year-old exotic dancer whose nude body was found dumped in rural Miami-Dade County. Gore was also convicted of killing another woman, Susan Roark, and the attempted murder of another woman.
This is the fourth time Gore's execution has been scheduled this year. Twice, courts put the execution on hold due to insanity claims. Attorney General Pam Bondi's office asked it be rescheduled because it conflicted with her political fundraiser.
His attorneys have asked for a stay from the U.S. Supreme Court.

President Barack Obama shook hands with Cuban President Raul Castro Tuesday at a memorial service for Nelson Mandela, a simple gesture that, while promptly downplayed by the White House, created a furor in Washington among critics of the Cuban regime.
