ORLANDO - Attorney Jose Baez says he is no longer representing Casey Anthony, the Florida mother whose murder trial last summer made him one of the best known criminal defense lawyers in the country.

In a statement released Wednesday Baez says he has withdrawn from the Anthony case. He says he must attend to the needs of his other clients

Since the Anthony trial, Baez has taken on as a client Gary Giordano, an American businessman suspected in the presumed death of his traveling companion in Aruba. He also has been giving speeches and offering television commentary.

A Pinellas County jury acquitted Anthony of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee last July. She is now serving probation on an unrelated charge.

Baez says Anthony isn't fielding offers to sell her story.
