EDGEWATER, Fla. - Officials in central Florida say a severe thunderstorm that may have produced a tornado damaged about 40 structures in a mobile home community.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal (http://bit.ly/Z9kzuS ) reports there were no serious injuries late Monday afternoon in the Terra Mar subdivision. Firefighters say about 12 of the homes are uninhabitable.

Volusia County Sheriff's spokesman Gary Davidson says some homes lost roofs and many trees and power lines were down in the area. He says two residents received scratches.

Access to the area was initially blocked off as officials went door-to-door searching for victims. Residents were allowed to return to the community around 8:30 am.

Officials say there were also reports of trees down and two homes damaged at the nearby Jones Fish Camp
