TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida Gov. Rick Scott is sitting down at the dinner table with one of his staunchest opponents.

Scott is wrapping up a week-long education listening tour by having dinner at the governor's mansion with representatives of the Florida Education Association. He has met with teachers, students and parents this week.

The teacher's union has been a constant critic of Scott since he came into office.

The FEA is trying to get a court to overturn the law that mandates that teachers and other public employees must contribute three percent of their salary to help pay for their pension.

The union is also critical of the state's reliance on high-stakes testing and a law that Scott signed last year that links test performance to merit pay for teachers.
