BRISBANE, Australia - Do you work a lot of hours and worry you are not spending enough quality time with your pet cats? Could your favorite felines be lonely?
Never fear. A free iPad app is now available to entertain them for hours.
Australia's Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) with help from university students created an interactive cat app called The Affection Collection.
The app features three games in one all to stimulate and entertain your cats. In fact, it's creators say it is the first iPad cat app with a built-in automatic boredom shuffling system.
"This is a game I have designed you can put down so if you go out to work or to the shops; it'll repeatedly shuffle through games so the cat will remain interested," said designer Saxon Cameron.
"For us it is all about keeping indoor cats stimulated and excited because they have not got that natural environment to go hunting," said RSPCA public relations officer Amanda Appel.
You can find the free app right now by searching for The Affection Collection in the Apple app store.
One caveat, it is probably best to only allow declawed cats to play with the app unless you do not mind scratch marks on your iPad screen.
