Technology you can use: Shush! app helps android users time phone silence

When headed to places like a movie theatre, work, or church, one of the first things many folks do is put their phone on silent---unfortunately, many leave their phones on silent for far too long.

Next thing you know, you’ve missed important calls from your family, friends or even your employer!

Well thanks to the developers at Public Object, the Shush! Ring Restorer keeps users from missing another call because the phone was mindlessly left on mute.

Shush! is a free android app, and once it is installed, it keeps an eye on the phone’s volume.

The application does not need to be opened every time you want to use it. When your phone is muted, it will instantly ask the user how long the ringer should be muted.

For example, if you’re in an hour long class, the timer would be set for 60 minutes, and after the lesson is up, the volume returns.

Simply Tap and drag on the volume meter in the lower left side to adjust the volume. Once it is set to your preferences, tap the Shush button. Shush will tell you when the sound will be restored.

The free app is available in the android market.
