NEW YORK - New Yorkers will have a change to witness a historic Martian landing from the middle of Times Square.

No, it's not an alien invasion.

Times Square's Toshiba Vision screen will broadcast the live landing of NASA's Curiosity rover on Mars early Monday morning.

Coverage on the big screen begins at 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, and will continue through 4:00 a.m. the next day.

Visitors to Times Square will get a chance to watch the action inside Mission Control as the first signal is sent back from Mars.

Curiosity is set to land beside a Martian mountain, and will spend two years researching the planet.
