Some viewers are asking us about an amber alert text message they received overnight.

It seems some Verizon wireless customers received the amber alert even if they weren't signed up to do so.

Customers may have received it by mistake.

According to verizon's website, you can disable amber alert messages by going to vtext.com and deleting the wireless amber alert from your list of alerts.
