Google unveiled a small tablet computer named the Nexus Seven Wednesday.
The 7-inch tablet is being made by AsusTek Computer Inc. That means it's more likely to challenge Amazon.com Inc.'s Kindle Fire than Apple Inc.'s popular iPad, which has a display that measures nearly 10 inches diagonally.
It will run the next version of Google's Android operating system, called Jelly Bean. It is also designed specifically for Google Play, the company's online store for movies, music, games, books and apps.
Google Play will now offer movies for sale, rather than only rentals.
