After meeting with several gay rights groups, Facebook has now added two more ways for users to express their love when it comes to their relationship status, CNN reports.

In addition to the usual ‘single’, ‘in a relationship’, ‘married’ and ‘it’s complicated’, Facebook added ‘civil union’ and ‘domestic partnership’ as relationship status options Thursday to recognize relationship dynamics in the gay community.

Facebook didn’t comment about the matter to CNN, but a gay rights group enthusiastically announced the change.

"By acknowledging the relationships of countless loving and committed same-sex couples in the U.S. and abroad, Facebook has set a new standard of inclusion for social media," Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation president Jarrett Barrios wrote in a statement.

Barrios said that Facebook has also met with other groups in addition to GLAAD regarding same-sex relationship options.

The option is open to users in U.S., Canada, the U.K, France and Australia, according to GLAAD’s statement.
