The first-ever photo taken from a spacecraft orbiting the planet Mercury has been released.
The attached photo was released by NASA on Tuesday, but is being viewed by many across the Internet Wednesday.
The historic image of Mercury was taken from NASA’s Mercury Messenger probe.
According to NASA, it is the first ever obtained from a spacecraft in orbit about the solar system's innermost planet.
