The Apple store has reportedly gone down in advance of the event.

What will the new iPhone look like? What will it be called? What carriers will make it available? Will the new connector require you to upgrade your home devices? Will their be a new iPad mini?

Apple isn't live streaming the event, although unauthorized streams might pop up on sites like UStream , at least until Apple finds them and takes them down.

The best bet for video is to check on Apple's site after the event, where they will post a high resolution copy.

If you're planning on buying the iPhone 5, remember you can turn it into a potentially life-saving device by downloading Storm Shield , an Emergency Weather Radio for your smartphone.

Storm Shield gives you alerts for your location on life-threatening weather events like tornadoes, hurricanes, thunderstorms and more.

You can download Storm Shield for the iPhone in the iTunes store. The app is also available for Android phones in the Google Play store. Storm Shield is offered by the E.W. Scripps Company, the parent company of ABC Action News.
