TAMPA - If you're unhappy with the current photo setup on Facebook, here's an app that should make things easier.

Pixable, an application designed by MIT students in 2009, takes the user's Facebook photo stream and kicks it up a notch.  According to the developer's Web site, "Pixable has enabled over a million users to manage and enjoy their online photos with a powerful set of features centered around photo search, discovery, aggregation, and editing."

CNET says Pixable provides users with a way to keep track of their friends' photos with a "follow" feature and receive notifications when they upload, like, comment on, or are tagged in a photo.

The app contains interesting features like "Top on Instagram Today" and "Movies Opening this Week," and it also aggregates your friends' shared videos in one place - no more endless scrolling to find what you're looking for on Facebook.

If you're not an iPhone or iPad user, Pixable is also available as a Web app.  You can connect with Pixable by approving the app while logged into Facebook and the information is automatically connected, giving you a simple and streamlined photo viewing experience.

The app is free for iOS and the Web.  For more information, you can check out Pixable's Web site.
