HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. - A multi-vehicle crash on the southbound lanes of the Howard Frankland Bridge Saturday afternoon is to blame for the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of the motorcycle, Justin Mullins, 26, from Pinellas Park abruptly made a lane change and sideswiped a car.
Mullins and his passenger were thrown from the motorcycle. Mullins was then hit by another car and died at the scene.
His passenger suffered minor injuries and was taken to Bayfront Medical Center for treatment.
FHP continues to investigate and charges are pending.
