TAMPA - Hillsborough Waste Management employees will soon double as FBI-trained look outs during the Republican National Convention in August.
The trainees of the neighborhood watch called Waste Watch will provide law enforcement and emergency services with “an extra set of eyes and ears”, reporting any suspicious activity they may see on their routes.
The Tampa Police Department and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office will also participate in the training.
The employees will be trained at Waste Management of Tampa on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.
The Republican National Convention will be held in Tampa August 27-30.
