TAMPA, Fla. - The University of South Florida’s Athletic Center has a new name -- a name that is a Tampa Bay legacy.
The Lee Roy Selmon Athletics Center placard was unveiled Wednesday at a ceremony by Selmon’s wife, Claybra, and their family.
USF President Judy Genshaft and Athletic Director Doug Woolard spoke about his dedication to the University and the Tampa Bay Community.
The Hall of Famer passed away after suffering a stroke last September. Selmon was 56 years old.
