Tropical Storm Joyce forms in Atlantic, no anticipated threat to Florida

MIAMI - Tropical Depression #10 became Tropical Storm Joyce on Thursday morning in the distant Atlantic.  Unlike Isaac, Joyce is expected to head north and pose no threat to Florida.

At 11 a.m., the storm was located about 1300 miles east of the Leeward Islands.

Maximum sustained winds are 40 mph as the system moves west-northwest at 17 mph.

Little change is expected over the next few days.
